Give the gift of education!

Many women from the Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar work als 'helpers' for families in Singapore. They've left their home country. Some at a young age. Some have never been outside their village before. Some are lucky and find a family treating them well; some are not. Some leave their kids back home - in the care of grandparents - and won't be able to hug them for some years. They work hard to support their families.

Aidha provides financial education and empowerment to these women. Students and alumni manage to save more of their money - an important step to break out of the cycle of poverty. Students can think again of a better future, of a return to family and friends. As a mentor at Aidha I coach students who want to start their own business back home: a restaurant, bakery, chicken farm, boarding house, etc. The students work hard, are brave and dare to dream big again.
